The One Condominium

Update: Construction of The One has been halted.

    The One condominium was being constructed on the site where the old Stollery's building stood when in December of 2019, the construction was halted due to the city issuing a stop-work order. The building had a permit to continue excavation work however, the construction had proceeded with foundation work that was not permitted yet at the time. On similar high-rise projects like The One, building permits need to be issued in stages. The One had originally started building in 2017 under Mizrahi Developments.    This high-rise building, located at 1 Bloor St W in Toronto. With over 82 stories, the units of The One, which are over 416 in number, range from 500 to 5700 sq ft. The building has 600 parking slots. The building’s construction had started in August of 2017 and is estimated to be completed in summer of 2024. 

Neighbourhood

    The One, located at Yonge and Bloor, is surrounded by everything one could possibly be looking for. The neighbourhood is filled with entertainment, culture, cuisines, and shopping centres to enjoy. The building is within a kilometre from 5 schools, 21 grocery stores, and over 300 bars and restaurants. Schools in the area are the following:

  4. The Dalton School
  5. Jesse Ketchum Junior and Senior Public School
  6. Rosedale Junior Public School

    The One condominium welcomes guests with amenities fit with the luxurious design of the building. The condominium has a five-star concierge service that ensures the best possible living. The building has a serene garden terrace that is approximately 3,000 square metres large. The area is heated all year round and features a snow-melting system that allows residents to enjoy the warm environment even during cold months. The One also has several other amenities to enjoy such as an infinity pool, recreation room, meeting room, outdoor patio, fitness centre, and a yoga studio.

Development/Building

    The One condominium is built under the development company of Mizrahi Developments and is designed by the architect team of Foster + Partners, Core Architects. The building’s landscape architect is the Planning Partnership. The building is a mix between modern and traditional designs. Interiors feature solid core custom doors and acoustically engineered demising walls with smooth and finished ceilings throughout the building.
